In my back-to-school video above, I highlight several trends, including the rise in student activism as well as the School Board’s recent work on school safety and security, sexual misconduct prevention and dress code reform. -Ryan
As a life-long resident of Fairfax County, a product of its schools, and a strong believer that strengthening America's public education system is the key to our collective future, I am proud to represent all residents of Fairfax County on the School Board and work every day to ensure that the next generation is offered the best public education our nation can provide.
From my days as a Marshall High School student petitioning to have stall doors installed in the men's restrooms to my time at the University of Virginia leading campaigns for an internationalized curriculum, I've sought to ensure that the next generation of Virginians continues to be afforded a well-rounded education--an education comprising world-class academics and the opportunity to participate in the sports, foreign language, career-tech and visual and performing arts programs for which Fairfax County is renowned.
Join me in renewing the promise for our future.
